Creative Cafeterias Use Healthy Kids Challenge® Resources to Meet the HealthierUS School Challenge
The HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC) is a voluntary initiative to recognize schools participating in the National School Lunch Program that have made changes to improve the quality of foods served, provide students with nutrition education, and provide students with physical education and opportunities for physical activity.
First Lady Michelle Obama has incorporated the HealthierUS School Challenge into her Let’s Move! campaign to raise a healthier generation of kids. The Let’s Move! campaign has designated monetary incentive awards for each HUSSC award level: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Gold Award of Distinction.
